Feelin' strong and submitting to music labels. AKS striving for the next level!
“Making their push in the Denver (CO) indie music scene is Any Known Sin, a trio of players delivering some heavier modern hard rock. Their debut EP, Lust features five songs, one of which is an instrumental. The first two cuts, Guiltmouth and Bliss, offer that heavier modern rock sound, displaying AKS's fondness for Soundgarden, Clutch, and Black Sabbath. The former song has a snappy guitar solo. The Piece is a gentle acoustic number, a surprising segue when you consider what follows. Black Symphony sounds like a modern reflection on the heavy metal of Black Sabbath. The vocals seem a bit caustic, but next to the closing piece, it's one of the best songs here. More nice fret work. The EP closes with Lost Cause, a lighter number, by comparison to the rest. It has both an ethereal and melancholy feel. Clearly, Any Known Sin brings creativity and skill to the table; the music is interesting enough to rouse the curiosity of the new music seeker.
