“Saxophonist Antoine Knight returns on his much-anticipated second CD, Walk Da Walk, a project at times smooth, sometimes sassy, frequently funky and always engaging. Knight, whose other career is with the First U.S. Army Division, keeps listeners engaged with an in-the-pocket groove where the unexpected comes as a pleasant surprise – just listen to the wailing guitar solos on the cover track and on Michael McDonald’s “I Keep Forgettin’.” Knight shows his chops on the swinging, traditional jazz track “Smooth Jazz Gone Straight,” and in a trio setting with the lovely and melancholy “Tears of Pain.” The CD includes an interview with the artist and an extended version of the cover tune, “Walk Da Walk.”
