Anthony Ware is a young saxophonist from New Jersey.  The son of two ministers he was immersed in gospel music from an early age.  As he grew he jumped at any chance to take any active role in creating music;  singing in his church choir, taking classical piano lessons.  In an attempt to be more like his father Anthony picked up the saxophone as soon as it was offered to him at elementary school.  At the age of 12, Anthony, became the saxophonist of his church though his study of the horn and improvisation did not become serious until he was introduced to what was then known as the Jazz Institute of New Brunswick.  

While at the institute Anthony was introduced to many of his mentors which include Radam Schwartz, Anthony Nelson, Bruce Williams, and James Stewart.  These mentors helped Anthony progress musically allowing him to place second at the Bird and Strings competition his 10^th grade year of High school.   Anthony has gone on to perform at many venues including the Blue Note(NY), State Theater, Minton’s Playhouse, CBGBs and Crossroads theater to name a few.  Most recently he made his first recorded appearance on “Magic Tales” with Radam Schwartz and the Conspiracy for Positivity.

Though his musical background is heavily steep in the music of the Caribbean and Gospel, Anthony has become a versatile musician.  He has played classic R&B with the Drifters, and continues to play Straight Ahead and  Avant-Garde.  He also performs with country, rock and metal bands.  Anthony’s love for music continues to propel him forward in the hopes that he might touch others through the art.
