“After getting the booklet of this demo of Anopsy, I come across such a title, viscera and see photos of the members covered in blood (or something of a similar color), one would expect insane Splatter / Gore, played at full speed. When "Sequels Of A Hammer" starts massacring the stereo, with the vocal line in a totally 'pig' execution, the impression that the band is appealing to these paths increases. Well, the sound of Anopsy brings enough of Splatter/Gore, especially in the lyrics but the sound goes off to the side of brutal Death Metal, with doses of heavyness, without getting caught only in being fast. What counted for a lot was that this material was well recorded, which left all the instruments with a well-defined sound. In some more elaborate movements the band gets to remember the old Cannibal Corpse. The basslines are great highlights of the band, since, in the midst of all that rot that is the instrumental part of Anopsy, they are heard clearly. Check them out without fear!”
