The Correspondents Taking the festival scene by storm these last few years, combining Swing, Breaks, Dubstep & Drum and Bass with an intense verbal assault from Mr Bruce that is only eclipsed in power by his insane dance moves; The Correspondents are one of the most lively acts we`ve come across..Their live shows explode the structure of a DJ/MC set up with Chucks hurling tracks at the audience and Mr Bruce in fully flamboyant costume whipping them into a frenzy with high speed scatting and incredulous dance moves. Last festival season saw them on main stages with a brass section, an infra-red sensored light box together with the trusty conveyor belt dance platform. This has earned them The Telegraph’s Top Ten Highlights of Glastonbury two years in a row. We simply cant wait to set them loose on the 02`s main arena. The Alternative Dubstep Orchestra This 15 Piece Dubstep Orchestra hailing from the north have to be seen to be believed, combining the full spectrum of musicality required to call themselves an orchestra but with there sound rooted firmly in the world of Dubstep and Bassmusic. The Alternative Dubstep Orchestra (ADO) has been set up as a collective of Birmingham based musicians and DJs who bring a new live element to the dubstep world. This is a project, a philosophy and an evolving musical experiment. This collaborative ongoing project aims to unite musicians and DJs, who would not usually get the chance to work together to experiment, rework, compose and improvise orchestral dubstep. Expect interactive, improvisational, reworked and composed pieces, always with an orchestral twist. This is gonna get heavy! MC Xander The incredible MC Xander will be joining us in the main arena, performing his unique blend of beatboxing and live looping. Having performed with breakbeat DJs such as Rennie Pilgim, Eddie Temple Morris and collaborating with DJ Hyper, as well as being a resident MC for londons "The End" nightclub, he’s no stranger to the stage. He’s been a regular on the festival circuit for quite a few years now, performing for Sunrise, Secret Garden Party, Shambala, Glade, Glastonbury and Chai Walla. Expect intelligent, powerful, lyrical poetics fused over a myriad of styles with a focus on Dub, Reggae and Hip Hop. This is going to be massive. DJ Cheeba DJ Cheeba is the sight and sound of Solid Steel’s new school. Heady beats and blistering sounds come together with iconic music videos, obscure YouTube finds and creative custom edits as Bristol’s DJ Cheeba cuts and splices audio and video live on turntables. Following the invitation to join Ninja Tune’s legendary Solid Steel radio show as a resident in 2010, Cheeba has spent the last couple of years producing a number of themed audio mixtapes and groundbreaking video projects, while relentlessly touring some of the most prestigious venues and festivals in the UK, Europe and beyond. This is going to be one cutting edge AV showcase to remember.
