Alabaster Morgue's core members (Robert - lead guitar; Tyler - rhythm guitar; and Vik - bass) started playing together in 2003. They eventually picked up Tim -vocals; Cianna - keys/backup vocals; and Fisk - drums.
They've been playing shows since 2005, and quickly skyrocketed onto Colorado's list of 'Elite 13' bands. They've consistently had draws of 100-150 people per show, even on weeknights.
Because the band consists of six people with varying musical backgrounds (all genres of metal, punk, goth, industrial, bluegrass and classical), the band has developed a unique sound that draws from the best of all genres. They've been described as "progressive metal" and "art metal," while still maintaining a cohesive sound. Alabaster morgue is fast-paced, guitar driven, with slap/pop bass, melodic keys, intricate drumming, and deep, growling vocals.
They've won the Project Independent battle of the bands for the state of Colorado, gotten an interview/spotlight on the local radio station 94.3 KILO, and opened for national acts such as SIX, Bleed the Sky, I.R.A.T.E. and Silent Civilian. They've produced their own merchandise, selling out of a lot of 100 shirts within a month. They are currently working on recording a full length album with Flatline Audio.
