“Agricantus is a project from Sicilian multi instrumentalist Tonj Acquaviva and Swiss singer Rosie Wiederkehr. For their new album the two recorded 10 original songs together with lots of guests musicians and singers. The musical journey starts with Bosforo where Lutte Berg plays e- guitar and Mauro Sigura Bouzouki, Acquaviva creates a mystic soundscape with sample, percussion and exotic flutes and at least is joining Wiederkehr’s voice. The title song is a rhythmical composition with excellent Sufi singer Mounir Troudi and his breathtaking arabic chant. .Onur Erbas from Turkey sings a duet with Wiederkehr in the melancholic Sema Simdi and in Divinità, a mystic hypnotic song there are guest musicians like singer Jaka, bassist Guillermo Mokotoff and the Bansuri player Binod Katuwal.Tamar McLoud Sinclair, singer from New Zealand enchant with her hipnotic voice in Waiora and Wiederkehr sings in Les aigües with an impressive virtuosity. Acquaviva has produced an excellent album.”
