A community art show to benefit a diverse array of local artists and The Louisville TimeBank (A Girl Named Earl plays at 9:00 pm) Hosted by Local Art in the Highlands at St. Andrew's Epsicopal Church WHAT: “Time is On Our Side” Community Art Show WHEN: Friday, September 20, 2013 6:00pm-10:00pm WHERE: St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2233 Woodbourne Avenue, Louisville, KY 40205 COST: $5 suggested donation at door This event offers a unique opportunity to experience art from a diverse array of Louisville residents. Works from artists of all ages and walks of life will be inclusively honored and valued, with children exhibiting side by side with more seasoned artists. The exhibit will open Friday, September 20th, 2013 from 6:00-10:00pm at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in the Highlands. It will feature work from over 50 local artists and include paintings, sculpture, woodcarving, and much more. Sponsored by Local Art in the Highlands, the event will benefit The Louisville TimeBank, a community organization whose members exchange time instead of money to meet each other’s needs and enrich the Louisville community. The theme of the show will be “Time” and artists are welcome to interpret the concept liberally. Refreshments will be served by Louisville TimeBank members, who will also answer questions about the TimeBank. A harpist and guitarist will provide musical atmosphere, and a basket of items crafted by Louisville TimeBank members will be given away as a door prize.
