We are a hard working band that cares about music and wants to share that love with everyone out there.
About
We got started in February of 2007. Alex Latham and TJ Murphy, of Gardner, KS, started the band with Alex on Guitar and vocals and TJ on Drums. They then brought Patricia, TJ's sister, into the band on keyboard, and their friend Moses on bass. They started playing and writing all their own stuff. They then decided they needed a lead singer, so talked to Alex Goering, of Spring Hill, KS, who immediately agreed to join the band. Moses later left the band because he was too busy, and planned to move to Ireland to live with his grandfather. A Dire New Hope was in desperate need of a bassist as their first show arrived. Alex Goering had some friends from other schools in the area that were fellow musicians. He talked to Ryan Dinyer, Prairie Village, KS. Ryan quickly learned the bass, and immediately decided to join the band. A Dire New Hope plans to go to Kansas University together, and continue to work together and play shows.
