Acoustic By Default is headed by northern California native Christian Weatherspoon, who began singing in church choirs while attending high school at Boys Ranch, just outside Amarillo, Texas.

Weatherspoon collaborates with several musicians around San Diego, most notably a singer/guitarist/bassist named Dave Lupica.
