“Best. Show. Ever. Seriously.”
“Howlin’, growlin’ front man Chad “Bo Bandit” Lyons describes the Acceleratii’s sound using the old compound-modifier technique: “psycho, chicken-fried, grease-monkey, hot-roddin’, truck-drivin’, weed-smokin’, beer-drinkin’, titty-feelin’, tire-squealin’, good-time, rowdy, debaucherous music.” More adjectives, apostrophes and quotation marks are needed to identify the rest of the band: Steve “Gomez” Mahlberg plays “screamin’ lead Gretsch guitar,” Ben “Neb Nesram” Marsen is on “bass from the down low,” and Wally Wedan provides “drummin’ thumpin’ beats.” Think Reverend Horton Heat, punkabilly, psychobilly, leather jackets and motorcycle boots, the Scorpions (bad-guy gang from Grease), and straight pipes on souped-up roadsters, and you’ve got a good idea of what to expect.”
“This should be a great addition to the Duluth Sound.”
“In my opinion, this how is modern rockabilly should be done. I also wish they'd come play Heavy Rebel next year so I can go see them.Recommended drink to compliment album: A bottle of free wine you got along with 11 others in the mail for no reason.”
“Lead singer Chad Lyons is a character on stage and memorizes the crowd ... mix of one part Larry The Cable Guy and another part the late Elvis Presley.”
