What started in a tattered disregarded notebook quickly became the unrealized dream of gritty-voiced songwriter, Blair. Brought together by Almost Heaven Entertainment, Absinthe of Junk formed on a classically rainy Nashville night with two guitars and a sweet vibe.

Based in Nashville, Tennessee, this band is like a breath of fresh air blending influences from all around the world. Their unique sound is a mixture of hard rock and blues blended with melodic world instrumentation, hard-hitting percussion, and screaming guitars amongst enveloping bass lines. Blair is well-known for her incredibly metaphorical and thought-provoking lyrics as well as her instrumental versatility. A classically trained violist, Blair works to apply unique instrumentation to every song in order to fully take advantage of every song's potential. At a show you never know what the girl will pick up next, with experience ranging from guitar to keys to violin to sax. With a unique and gritty voice, Blair delivers a solid performance reminiscent of some of Rock's greatest femme-fatales, including Janis Joplin, Dana Fuchs, Shirley Manson, and Dolores Mary O'Riordan Burton.
