"Once upon a time we took a little drive up to Austin, TX to check out a band we had been hearing good things about. Apparently we were't the only ones to catch wind of them. Off in a corner was the incomparable Gary Clark Jr chillin and listening on a rare off night. The White Horse Saloon played host to THE SOUL SUPPORTERS that night and they offered a fresh approach to Vintage Soul & Retro R&B that I had yet to see. TWO, count'em, TWO lovely Female Lead Vocalists and a band so tight you could bounce a quarter off of! Their sound was "classic" and it gave me the same feeling as when you put on an rare dusty record with that intro static that has become obsolete. It's groups like this that make us glad we have LUNA to offer them a stage."
