ABOUT MY FAVORITE EP:

My Favorite EP is an experimental open-source music project I'm running.  It's all about blurring the line between listener and artist in the creative process and trying something that's never been done before.  So read below, browse the different versions and join in the fun.

I started with lyrics for five unwritten songs, which I recorded to a metronome with no music at all.  I posted those vocal tracks online for free download in September 2007 and 20 very different producers from all over the world each made their own versions of the music to go with the lyrics.  Starting January 2008, I'm leaving it up to you to choose your favorite version of each song and assemble your own favorite EP. 

Please use the Create Tunepack button to make a postable widget of your favorite EP (directions are at the bottom of this page) and post it on your blog, myspace, facebook, etc as your My Favorite EP.  Let the world know!  New musical versions can still be sent to MyFavoriteEP@gmail.com (scroll to the bottom of the songs list above to find the vocal tracks).

TO CREATE A TUNEPACK OF YOUR FAVORITE EP:

1.  Push the blue play arrow button to the right of each song to play it.  It will automatically appear in your ReverbNation player.
2.  Remove the tracks you don't want in your playlist by selecting each song title (it'll be highlighted gray when selected) and hitting the X button to the left of the song titles.  You can't change the order in this screen, but you can soon.
3.  Hit the SEND button and a screen will pop-up window.
4.  Name the playlist something funny and clever.
5.  Drag and drop the tracks into the order you want them in. 
6.   - Press "Email Tunepack" to send the playlist to friends by email.
      - Press "Get Tunepack URL" to get the link to POST this playlist online somewhere.
      - Press "Cancel" to cancel.

Easy as pie, eh?
