Lunic is an alternative rock band formed by Kaitee Page in March 2008. Born and raised in upstate New York, Page moved around among six different cities before finally settling in London, UK where the band is based.
A classically trained violist, Page played electric violin & keys in various rock bands from 2003-2006, most notably the LA-based Australian Pop/Rock band, Porcelain (Universal Records). In May 2006, Page parted ways with Porcelain in order to focus more on her songwriting career.
From 2006-2008 she performed under many names including LuX, Freyja, & Kaitee Page, until finally settling on the name Lunic in March 2008. The band name was inspired by the famous poem, The Cat & The Moon by W.B. Yeats and also a trip to Prague where Page discovered the Czech word for 'escape' is 'unik.'
In October 2006, Page began recording her debut album, The Uglylights, a group of 12 songs that, due to unforseen circumstances, was never completed by the engineer and was never released. In August 2008, eight of those 12 songs were rescued and combined with two new songs to be released as the band's first LP, Skeletons: http://amiestreet.com/lunic

Lunic has played dozens of live shows & festivals throughout the US & the UK and recently completed a 3-week tour of the US in support of their debut release. Some top US venues include the Fine Line Music Cafe (Minneapolis), Summerfest (Milwaukee), & Elbo Room (Chicago). Top UK venues include Barfly (Camden), Dublin Castle, Monto Water Rats, & Clapham Grande.
In March 2008, Lunic became the 17th artist to reach 50K on Sellaband.com, a website whereby fans contribute money in order to put their favorite artists in the studio. Lunic's new Sellaband album has already pre-sold 5000 copies and is due out January 2009: http://www.sellaband.com/kaiteepage
