ELTON – THE EARLY YEARS captures 1970′s Elton John like no other tribute band. Eight seasoned musicians recreate an early Elton John show complete with bell-bottoms, platforms, glitter and sequins. Frontman Kenny Metcalf channels Elton while playing piano and providing lead vocals. Elton – the Early Years has entertained thousands and continues to walk in the legendary footsteps of the Rocket Man.

I recently had the pleasure of seeing Kenny Metcalf perform his show Elton – The Early Years at NAMM 2012. I was amazed at how well he does Elton, he sounds just like him vocally and his piano playing and stage antics, along with an excellent band are so accurate you wonder if you haven’t been transported back in time to some of the historic concerts such as Dodger Stadium in 1975!
For any Elton John fan that likes to take a trip down memory lane and visit Elton’s music of the early 70’s, this is the show to see!
It brought back some fun memories for me as one who was there from the beginning!

Last night Elton - The Early Years ROCKED "Anthology" in San Diego. A great place to play, great staff and atmosphere. The place was packed to capacity on all three levels.
