    It MAY not be summer yet, but it is never too early or too late to let your artistic spirit shine. Java Expressions: LIVE returns on May 17th with another line up of local artists that you can see in-person or from home, LIVE online! Java Expressions "live" is a 3rd-Sunday, "feature" portion of our weekly open-mic. We run our normal open mic from 7-8 pm and 9:30-11 pm with the live-streamed session running in-between, from 8-9:30 pm. Please make plans to stop by The Coffee Scene to see it live, or visit The Outlaw Poet Channel. Want to thank these folks for registering for the event, and we are very excited about the show. For those who will be in the house with us, the open-mic will begin at 7pm and run until approx 7:45. We'll run the live show starting at 8pm then return to the open-mic at 9:30. Our performers for this month's Java Expressions: LIVE: El'Ja Juke Cody Covan The Gaddis Family Our next broadcast is the June 21st show. Please contact Java Expressions or message this page for booking and other questions or concerns. Your message should have your name, email, phone number, and genre (if booking). JE: Live is an invitational series with a layout intend to maximize the exposure of each featured artist. Each month we will feature two (2) spoken word artists and two (2) singer/songwriters for a total of four (4) artists. Each artist will be able to enjoy a 20 minute set. All work performed must be ORIGINAL compositions. Covers are not allowed. Artists who would like to be considered for a feature on JE: Live are encouraged to put their names in the hat. To be considered you must send a message to either the Java Expressions or Java Expressions "live" FB pages. Your message must include name, phone#, email, what type performance (poetry/music/etc.) It will be a great chance for folks, all over the world, to see and feel what we have going on in our community!     Monthly open mic event! Admission is FREE and the coffee is GREAT! Come out on May 23rd from 6-10pm for a comfortable evening of poetry and music. Hosted by El'Ja & Northstar, this month's feature is Al Black. We start off at 6pm with a writing workshop that is open to ALL WRITERS...poets, songwriters, storytellers, you name it! Then we kick into the open mic and our featured artist. HMU takes place every 4th Saturday at Cumberland Coffee Roasters, 3109 N Main St, Suite# 107 in Hope Mills. This event is hosted by El'Ja and Northstar and brought to you in-part by Cumberland Coffee Roasters, Poetry In Fayetteville, LMS Radio Project, Outlaw Poet Releasing, and YOU...the artists and art lovers who make these events amazing!
