    Hope Mills: Unplugged feat. LAW Monthly open mic event! Admission is FREE and the coffee is GREAT! Come out on January 24th from 7-10pm for a comfortable evening of poetry and music. Hosted by El'Ja & Northstar, this month's feature is LAW Bullock. Law is a local spoken word artist who has managed to take raw passion and life experience and refine it into poetic story telling.     Monthly open mic event! Admission is FREE and the coffee is GREAT! Come out on October 25th from 7-10pm for a comfortable evening of poetry and music. Hosted by El'Ja & Northstar, this month's feature is one of the area's up & coming young singer/songwriters, Avery Hurt. Avery started teaching herself guitar at age 10 and by age 12, she started what would become a 4 year stretch playing in her youth worship band as lead guitarist and singer for 4 years. Now 16, Avery just recently started playing outside of church, at open mic nights and different places around town. "I've always been the kind who finds it hard to express my feelings. But I express myself through my songs. I love and play all genres of music but mainly country. Miranda Lambert and Taylor Swift are my two biggest influences." Avery has been featured in many venues & events including Local Musicians Showcase, Java Expressions "live", and the Cumberland County Fair.
