Bio: Intersecting planes is about life's adventures and making music with others. The adventures of making music with others, especially. I love to jam.
Covers and originals on piano and (soon!) Ukelele. Sometimes brutally honest, sometimes uplifting, always intense.

Woo-Hoo! Years ago, I was at this joint to support a friend's band and saw them and a cool jazz trio... years later, I will be playing a happy hour set from 6-7:30 to celebrate the release of my first full-length album: "Alchemy on Ivory" ...this place is rad, I am EXTREMELY stoked to be playing out here, and it's FREE! so come out :)
This is my CD release party, kids! $5 holler gets you the evening with... well, me.... and a live performance of the full-length album, plus a few other tunes. Maybe some fire, maybe an awesome special guest if I can swing it :) The door/ticket sales go towards my gas, and costs of other shows I'm throwing/promoting out of pocket this season and the album sales - which are on special discount for $5 just for tonite! - will go towards Animal Friends, in honour of my youngest brother, Jake, who's 18th birthday would have been today, had he not taken his life in 2010. There is a sad side to my life as a musician, which is that I didn't feel spurred to really go out and sing until I desperately needed a healthy way to cope with Jake's death. The heavy irony of it being that I have written many songs about depression and suicidal urges, as a way to cope with my own struggle. So, I dedicate this night in his memory, and will play songs on the album that were inspired by the grief that came after his death.... "The Ghost Game," "Lullabye," and "Charlatan." I promise to not be a sad sack, though. I am grateful for the opportunity to do this and to give to a cause that would make Jake smile, through my music. It is the most and least I can do right now. I hope you will join me!
