Q: Is there a big music scene for alternative music in Alaska?

A: Alaska has a great music scene. There's some amazing talent up here. The metal scene is pretty big, but all genres are represented. If you want to get a taste of what we have to offer, go listen to clips of the brand new Cold & Loud Anthology produced by Kurt Riemann. There are 27 bands on a two disc set, Cold being rock/punk/alternative and Loud being metal.
