My GAWD!!!! It's going to be a rawkus night on CINCO DE MAYO at NECTAR'S (Saturday May 5th)!!! Mildred Moody's Full Moon Masquerade has teamed up with the Lynguistic Civilians and Second Agenda to bring y'all the biggest and best show this town can possibly have on that great ol' holiday where we all drink Coronas and Tequilas and eat burritos and beat pinatas!!!! This year you can add rocking out and dancing to some of the most talented, groovalicious bad-ass bands this side of Lake Champlain to that list. The night kicks off with Dj Frank Grymes of The Human Canvas spinning some beats while you get acquainted with a newly transformed Nectar's lounge area. Yes... NECTAR'S WILL BE TRANSFORMED into a festival setting complete with VENDORS SELLING JEWELRY AND CLOTHES. CHAIR MASSAGES, Full moon ASTROLOGY READINGS, you can get your FACE PAINTED, body painted... if you forget to bring a masque (YOU SHOULDN'T FOOL!!!) but if you do, you can buy one on site. And when you're all gussied up in whatever wigs or facepaint or masques you're wearing you can then take some photos in our professional PHOTO BOOTH with as many friends as you like. You can wake up the next day and, while hungover, look over all the photos online and laugh about how crazy the night got!!! After DJ Frank Grymes integrates you to the scene, Mildred Moody will take the stage for a short set to warm you up for the caberet performance... yep... ... and then the night REALLY takes off as SECOND AGENDA rocks the house, followed by a performance by THE HUMAN CANVAS and then (after the entire place gives one great HOWL AT THE MOON --- in unison) THE LYNGUISTIC CIVILIANS blow the roof off the place and take us into the wee hours of the morning... til you can't dance no more... $5 cover. Doors @ 9pm. This is also a FUNDRAISER, people!!!! A portion of the proceeds go to The Peace & Justice Center.
