Q: Zeztor what recording equipment or software did you use to record this? Sounds really separated and top notch on my end going through this computer speaker system.

A: Greetings! Thank you for Zeztor's first question and your kind words!! This album was recorded on Logic 9 Studio with my 15" Mac book Pro lap top, using a Presonus Firebox mobile interface. The photo here is of me sitting in my home studio at the desk this was written, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered on. I played the guitars, bass, keyboards and TD-9 digital drum kits direct line in. Vocals and mandolin were recorded with a Sterling ST 51 condenser microphone, wrapped in foam to the pop filter for separation and occasionally backed up with a Shure SM-57. As I was mastering this album, we had a power surge which blew through two computer surge protectors and burnt up this gear!! I had to spend thousands replacing it and started over. On the bright side, I got double the practice and engineering experience!! smiles, Zeztor
