Monte Pittman was born a Scorpio on November 19, 1975, in Longview,TX. He first began playing guitar as a teenager with the help of his teacher, Robert Browning, and also took music theory and piano lessons from Delores Rhoades. In 1996 he started his first band, Myra Mains, a heavy metal band who got compared to the likes of Pantera and Fear Factory. Shortly after their second album was completed, Monte moved to Los Angeles to sell guitars in 2000, and found with the number of people asking for suggestions for guitar teachers, that it would be more lucrative to give guitar lessons himself. Almost immediately upon relocation, he began to work with legendary pop artist Madonna, and has over the course of his career worked with artists such as Prong, The Citizen Vein and Adam Lambert. His first solo album, The Deepest Dark, was released in November 2009. With it’s mellow acoustic sound, and his smooth and heartfelt vocals, Monte delivers the 11 tracks with an intensity not often heard in today’s music. The album was written entirely by him, with the exception of “The Circle”, which was co-written by Adam Lambert and Tommy Victor, and had been previously recorded by The Citizen Vein. In Fall 2009, Monte joined Adam Lambert’s live band, and has accompanied him on appearances, international promo shows, and live concerts. During Adam’s international album promotion at the beginning of 2010, Monte played acoustic gigs in the cities they were in to get his own work heard to audiences hungry for new and original music. Currently, Monte is the musical director and lead guitarist on Adam Lambert’s Glam Nation Tour, and working on a follow up to The Deepest Dark. Monte Pittman is endorsed by Orange Amps and plays Gibson Guitars.

I had heard good things about this band and went to see them at the House of blues in Hollywood. I listen to them on the Internet but I was not prepared for what I saw at the House of blues their stage show was amazing they have the energy and the look together with their songwriting ability I'd be willing to bet it won't be long before these guys just explode. After the show had a chance to talk to the manager a seasoned veteran who himself play professionally for more than 35 years he has the experience to take them wherever they want to go. I went and saw them on Sunday night at the Roxy and again amazing so it appears that they have the ability to deliver every time they step on stage. That night I had a chance to talk to the guys after the show very nice down to earth I found out there from Nashville and all raised in the South that explains most of it. I have learned that they have been nominated for best rock single of the year at the LA weekly music awards that should be an easy win. The only question I have is where are the record companies I can't believe they have been signed yet there's no doubt they will be signed and with the backing from major label gold albums will be in the future. I'm old enough to remember when Van Halen played backyard parties and in small clubs and we could see Motley Crue on the strip what I'm saying is this you need to check the schedule for this band to come and see them for yourself once you do you keep coming back to see them so when they go big you be able to say I saw them hear and I saw them there just like I do with VH and the crew and now be able to say the same about this band as well.make sure to bring someone with you each time you come back to see them again bring someone new and when that person comes back again to bring someone new also this band has only been in LA for 10 months they have been paying their dues for longtime and will continue to do so we need to support them spread the word and let's build a fan base.
