Q: Hi, why is it that the songs only play for like 30 seconds?
A: I stayed with the old business model because it wasn't broke; the new business model is not @ all funny but still a joke. 30 seconds is more time than an A&R rep would even listen to a song to decide whether to go with it or pass on it (the same goes that if a consumer’s attention is captured or not captured in the first 30 seconds, he or she will buy, or not buy your song), thus the reason why Amazon, ITunes, etc. post snippets to give you an idea of what you’re about to download.
