Looking for some great sounds and entertainment over the Memorial Day weekend? You'll be tapping your feet to the talented performers of Premiere Entertainment as they present the Fourth Annual Memorial Day Weekend Music Concert. Join some great professional entertainment along with other community music artists. Featured this year are Marcus Anderson, Yolanda Rabun, Ashley Marshall, Black Steel with emcee DJ Cole. Watching Marcus Anderson perform is akin to no other live experience. The tremendous musicianship Anderson displays in-person is matched only by his energetic, charismatic and passionate showmanship. Heavily influenced by artists such as Michael Jackson, James Brown and PRINCE, Anderson's magnetic stage persona and tremendous enjoyment of performing is undeniable. Anderson makes the stage his musical playground and the stage becomes the setting for where "style meets substance." Yolanda Rabun sings with intelligence and passion. Her vocal flexibility and range earn high marks for taste, inventiveness, and power. Phrasing is always sophisticated, and she's not afraid of taking risks. She handles all styles of music across nearly three octaves with sensibilities that stem from years of vocal performance. At a young age, Yolanda toured Europe and Japan for Coca-Cola as a featured vocalist. Yolanda now tours with her newly released single "Hold on to Your Dreams" and "So Real" projects. Ashley Mar Shell created a remarkable buzz with her debut in 2011, and has remained a prominent mention on the NC entertainment scene ever since and is now the voice of K97.5's Midday party intro with DJ Angel Baby and "The Russ Par Morning Show" intro on syndicated radio. Just one year in, she was already crowned 2012 CMA "R&B Artist of the year" and had landed lead roles in independent films and movie soundtrack placements. DJ Coles is a former military kid and currently a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina. DJ is a Contemporary Christian and Inspirational artist whose solo musical journey began with the release of his debut project entitled, "A Prayer for America" in 2003. He followed that successful album with the national release of "Your Grace" in 2006. This project received acclaim and airplay. The Memorial Day Weekend Music Festival showcases some great local and national talent at a great price. Grab your tickets today!
After her sold out performances in 2014, we are excited to bring back Yolanda Rabun this year for an all-star performance. Singing soulfully with power and a natural storytelling instinct, Yolanda Rabun stuns and transforms audiences because Yolanda sings with probing intelligence and passion. This chart-topping recording artist, and NC-based award-winning attorney and professional actor, in 2011, released “So Real”, and transferred her energetic spirit into her debut CD project, bringing her personal experiences to life for all to listen. Rabun co-wrote several songs, including the title song “So Real”, which garnered the #1 Soul Jazz Song, a 7-week run on the UK Soul Top 30 chart, and 50,000+ YouTube views. Nancy Wilson, Nina Simone and Gladys Knight are major musical influences of Yolanda Rabun, who has opened for Jennifer Holiday, played the main stage of several festivals, including the Atlanta Jazz Festival, sang with Howard Hewitt and traveled the world to Japan, South Korea, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, and Jordan delivering her sultry blend of smooth jazz and soul. In 2012, Yolanda continued to turn her unique soulful jazz style into something very real with her sophomore album, “Christmastime” that landed her immediate radio airplay, a Florida tour and an extended opening performance for Ron Isley and the Isley Brothers to a sold out audience in the world-class Durham Performing Arts Center. Christmastime infused Soul, R&B, Gospel, Folk, and Smooth and Traditional Jazz into classic holiday songs and became a chart favorite. This NC based vocalist emerged in 2013 with “Hold on To Your Dreams” that made top 100 contemporary songs and crossed genres with blends of R&B, Soul, Jazz, Gospel and Pop. Germany’s SonicSoul lauded Yolanda’s Hold on to Your Dreams single as “rock-solid”. Yolanda Rabun is the person to involve for next level experiences. It is all in that every-woman energy she brings. It is what makes her so real. Yolanda will be performing two shows: 8:00 and 10:00. Tickets are available for 1 show at $20 or for both at $30. - See more at: http://beyucaffe.com/events/yolanda-rabun-4/#sthash.zHjYqqkX.dpuf
