Wendy Schettig is a singer/songwriter, acoustic guitarist, and speaker from the Philadelphia area. You’ll find an interesting blend of folk, blues, and spiritual americana in her music. She started writing at age nine, performing in high school, and opened a folk music shop at age eighteen in Camden, Maine. Her fingerpicking style guitar has been likened to James Taylor, Gordon Lightfoot and Eva Cassidy. Her voice is similar to that of Janis Ian. In 1981 Wendy relocated to Pennsylvania where she has continued to perform from Virginia to Maine. “Wendy’s voice is a rare treat in any style of music and her guitar work takes a back seat to no one,” says Karl Dieterich owner of Bucks County Folk Music Shop.
