Walt Winston is a Folk Musician who appeared in Season 6 and again in Season 7 on the NBC Television Program, "America's Got Talent!" Though he was eliminated early, Walt made some new friends and new fans, Walt was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and began his music career as a songwriter in 1977, and began performing in 1981 in the St. Louis area, and later forming his first active band, The Waltles in which he played guitar and bass, as well as the lead vocalist, with Chris Noblin as the Bassist/lead guitarist, and drummer Bongo McCray then Scott Eastabrook. Walt formed three different lineups of The Waltles, recording an album in St. Louis in 1993, and then the original lineup split and Walt reformed The Waltles in 2001 recording a few practice sessions and then four tracks and a live album with yet another lineup of The Waltles with Pat Shout and James Vincent. Walt has accumulated more Online #1 hit singles based on number of plays than any folk act, and has achieved this accomplishment within the last 3 years and Walt is still going strong.
