Bio: Sammy’s Rockin’ Island Bar and Grill is a spectacular new oasis in the heart of Roseville, CA. The restaurant resides in the former J C Penney department store building. Originally built in the early 1920s, the building has been through a variety of transformations but nothing like its current makeover! Hall of Fame recording artist Sammy Hagar and his local partners saw its potential and set out to take the building from a forgotten shell to the hottest night spot in the area. And in the process is providing jobs and momentum to revitalize Roseville’s downtown. “There’s something special about the old parts of cities,” Hagar said. “It’s got history.
