Bio: The Blue Canyon Jam Events is a non-profit association that supports local music, art and business in the Sierra Nevadas. we have 40 private acres in the middle of Tahoe National Forest at Blue Canyon. We provide all venues with a full PA and sound system, house drum set, 3 microphones and a beautiful, hand-crafted pine wood stage, created by Del Dunks. We can host your event, provide access to local caterers and have very rustic campsites for all your guests. We host a 3-day music jam where local musicians can share their sound, their show and their talent with our community. We encourage new upcoming artists to participate. We have been hosting musical venues and fundraisers for 3 years now, and can offer more opportunities as our facilities grow. On October 15, 2013, we hosted a fundraiser that featured Hank Williams 3, or Hank 3. Hank was gracious enough to donate his time to our event. We have no sound ordanance where we live and we are now have 501 c 7 not for profit status which will enable our organization to host a bar and grill. We offer a campfire at night and have picnic tables, and camping areas with water nearby for our attendees. We are in the process of creating a swim area, and have an outdoor kitchen. We host 4 wheel drive / rock crawling events as well as snow wheeling and snowmobiling events. We teach people how to 4WD and camp without leaving a footprint in Tahoe National Forest. We teach survival skills as well as recycling and environmental protection. Blue Canyon is beautiful year round and can also be a host to weddings, family reunions and other milestone events. We are an educational association that teaches up and coming musicians how to promote their music, and record venues for the best results in advertising and booking. Our more experienced musicians mentor our new bands. Bands can easily throw a CD release party or record a video of your band performing to post on the web. We partner with other local sound engineers to enhance your needs. Our annual blues event is forever changing and transforming. This is a great event at which you can meet other musicians, local promoters and club owners. Del is also a Sound Engineer and Leanne is a singer/songwriter/guitarist with 30 years experience. Our annual event is 3 days of camping, music and jamming. All musicians are encouraged to attend. We are child friendly, but do not allow dogs.
