Kemp made that vision a reality, and she called it Artmosphere. For a while, Artmosphere held true to Kemp's original vision. But as she tells it, through a loyal customer base, the love and attention of the venture's employees, and an insistence from Kemp that everyone take an ownership pride in the place,”it's grown to be what it wanted to be.” And what it wants to be is one of the most interesting live music venues in Acadiana. On any night of the week, Artmosphere features live music. The weekday schedule is diverse – a jazz night, a blues jam, a songwriter's night, a Celtic music jam and a few regular performer slots. On weekends, the venue hauls out the big guns, featuring performances from bands booked from around the southern region, sometimes pairing well-known acts with lesser known local acts.
