Bio: Join hosts Robert Douglas and Hilary Russell every Wednesday night at midnight (PST) on LIVATION for local and touring bands playing on the air on KXLU 88.9FM, Los Angeles and KXLU.com. Since March 2020, due to COVID-19 we have been prerecording new shows while utilizing archived performances previously recorded LIVE on the air before COVID restrictions closed the campus where KXLU is located. In June 2022 a successful test was performed using recently purchased equipment to record live gigs at venues and edit them for playback on LIVATION until further notice. By early summer LIVATION should be featuring new recordings done in the field for an entirely new chapter in LIVATION's nineteen year history. LIVATION replaced Happy Trails back in 2004. Robert has been on KXLU since 1987 and Hilary since 2010. Also, be sure to check out LIVATION AM, Wednesday mornings, 6 - 8AM PST for the newest music from all over the world and a few oldies thrown in for good measure, in addition to LIVATION LATE, Thursdays at 2AM PST, right after LIVATION, where we just do whatever we want for an hour!
