About the Artist

#CONFORMITY #CRUSHES #CREATIVITY! MY TUNES ARE ALL ABOUT CREATING ON THE FLY; NO COOKBOOK, NO RULES, NO PREPARATION, NO PLAN; IT JUST HAPPENS! FORMULA THINKING AND BOUNDARIES PUT EXTREME LIMITATIONS ON THE CREATIVE PROCESS; TRUE ART CAN NOT BE PRODUCED WITHIN A RESTRICTED SPACE! The Soundcloud Crowd, who tend to think production is everything, seem to think my music is vastly inferior to their own, either trashing it, or giving me fatherly advice on how I might aspire to their level. It's the fact that they totally believe in their own superiority coinciding with the lack of listens, and relative absence of feedback I receive, which APPEARS to support their condescending advice that can be so frustrating--not to mention the fact that it negatively influences the opinion of other listeners, even discouraging them from listening entirely! #CONFORMITY #CRUSHES #CREATIVITY! TITLES CAN REVEAL HOW IMAGINATIVE THE MUSIC AND THE LYRICS ARE! I can't really give an opinion myself (some of the comparisons are not too obvious to me, and a couple of the artists I don't really like; flattering all the same), but I've been compared to the following artists: SHEEP ON DRUGS, ROBIN HITCHCOCK, SWANS, THROBBING GRISTLE, BAUHAUS, DAVID BOWIE (ME BEING AN INFERIOR ONE, OF COURSE), TUBEWAY ARMY, BONZO DOG DOO-DAH BAND, LOU REED, FAD GADGET, THE MISSION, THE RESIDENTS, THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS, SID BARRETT, LADYTRON, SPARKS, DEPECHE MODE, BRIAN ENO, DAVID BYRNE, PETER MURPHY, PHILIP GLASS, CABARET VOLTAIRE, SWANS, REMAIN IN LIGHT, TALKING HEADS, NEIL INNES, BARNES AND BARNES, ALIEN SEX FIEND, DEVO, A CERTAIN RATIO, HEAVAN 17, IGGY POP, PET SHOP BOYS, STEVE REICH, SISTERS OF MERCY, FRANK TOVEY, COIL, CHROME, JOHN CALE, JOHN FOXX, even Pink Floyd, it seems. I have several pages here on RN, and it would probably require listening to quite a few tracks on the different pages, to come to a similar conclusion regarding influences.
