VANRAY, aka Pete Long, is a solo acoustic artist based in West Yorkshire, recording and performing original material and covers at venues across the UK and beyond.
The driving force behind indie band Moonpump and the alternative electroacoustic act Fie! Fie! Fie!, VanRay has been prolific in terms of penning tunes, with many of the tracks featuring on radio stations around the world.
A typical live set features original material and/or cover versions as diverse as Soft Cell, Bob Marley, Pixies, The Smiths, Neil Young, Arctic Monkeys, Dolly Parton, Simple Minds, The Cure, Blondie, Nirvana, Green Day, AC/DC, The Stranglers, Adam Ant, Gloria Gaynor and many more.. Depending on the venue, sets can be original material, cover versions or a mixture of both.
The release of the albums HOW FAR EIFFEL(2019) and AS THE CENTURY'S DEFINED(2021), plus several EPs in 2022 and 2023, has seen tons of worldwide airplay and a string of live performances all over the UK.
VanRay is always busy and looking for more opportunities.
2024 will see the release of more new material on all major platforms and many live performances, radio sessions and airplay.
