Hailed from a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Michigan called St. Joseph. In 1963 myself and 2 other 8th grade classmates along with 2 other students from a rival school formed a group for a school recital. We got a standing ovation and were asked to play at the next school dance. We only knew the 2 songs that we performed at the recital but of course we took the gig! Put together a song list-practiced and that was the beginning of my career. In 1965 and a change of some group members we formed a new group named "The Bare Necessitees". A 60's Garage/Cover rock band we traveled throughout SW Michigan, Indiana, and Iowa. Playing music and having the time of our life! College and the Military saw us go in different directions but some of the group continued pursuing their musical careers and have become wonderful artists. After returning from the Navy I had reconstruction surgery to my left wrist and thought I would not ever play again. After a 45 yr. layoff I have "relearned" to play with limitations! Thanks to my former band members and friends and family who have encouraged me to continue playing Guitar! It has been a challenge relearning to playing again with very limited motion of the wrist and some nerve damage to my hand. Just not as fast as I once was...but Hell it's better than not playing at all ! I guess I'm just an "Old and Arthritic" '60's lead guitar player after all this time reliving the memories and songs from days gone by! Hope that you will enjoy the music posted! Maybe I've got one more gig left in me ! ......Tom
