Eve

There’s a voice from the vault of the eastern sky it’s, from the mountain of heart and stone,
It ripples out on to this grassy plain and blows right through my bones!
Oh and can't you set her free? Are you afraid of what we'll be?
Won't you set her free? Come on Eve. Come on Eve!
Now out across the garden, I see a new vapor rise,
And high above the mountain, I see a new light in the sky
Then out from the depths of the deep dark pools her figure parts the mysts
She smiles and kisses my motionless face, Ya know it’s frozen from my wish
Oh, and she cries with me under this forbidden tree
And now she lies with me and we’ll learn of what will be, what will be
Come on Eve, come on Eve
‘n I’ve been waiting here forever, lift this curse as we come together
You know there's no one to blame, there is really no shame

Now we know of the Knowing that we’re, part of the all
And what we know of the Knowing is that we’re, all gonna fall

Bare with me! Grab a snack, sit how you sit and ungulate on your snack, slurg on your beverage, and by all means if you’re enjoying this read keep in mind its a time line, a bio. If you care to take that much time. The references here are NOT necessarily how they appear on published works. I’m 57 years old and have played music with some really great musicians and some real doozies. We learn from each one. Some are the purest rarefied gold and others are well… You know!
I’m gonna get a little spiritually theoretical here so keep ungulating and slurgging on a beverage but whatever you decide close your eyes take three deep breaths before you get started. Then read on.
When you write music, when you are playing your instrument, and you’re feeling a wave of emotion, or brooding on events, once and a while without realizing the current you become one with everything. Many times you don’t comprehend that’s what’s happening. If you do comprehend and your fully aware then you’ve set yourself onto a path of higher musicianship. Those emotions then begin to come out in words and the words form their various syntactic constructs as you open your mouth and start singing. Sometimes you play an entire piece, song, poem, play, book, or……whatever. You are one, you feel the oneness, the singularity.
Almost everything on this site was crafted in that moment of singularity. Then when the band you’re playing in comes to that piece or song and all the members have come to the point when each musician is aware of the singularity, it rises like a great white whale out of calm waters and the event itself has no definition, no way to describe its singularity except, “WOW…. that was really coool!”
Each new collection of musicians, if they have practiced, comes to that moment of singularity and if they do so while in the studio and it is captured in a recording then it is well, “WOW…. that was really coool!”
I’ve captured those moments first as a soloist at home. The best time for that to happen to me is when I reach a plateau of happiness, frustration, sadness, brooding, or some emotion I’m feeling as a singularity.
