Tim Page is a musician and songwriter from Auckland New Zealand, who has a passion for deep conversations, unique musical instruments, coffee and a good book. As a Theology graduate of the University of Auckland, Tim's songs seek to explore life at an honest , thoughtful level, while also seeking to retain musical integrity.
Playing most of the instruments on his recordings himself, Tim finds this works best for his trial-and-error style of creative experimentation, favouring organic music over sequencing and seeking out natural timbre over synthesis.
Tim has collaborated extensively with former New Zealand Poets Laureate Michele Leggott and Selina Tusitala Marsh, and has performed with the Toitoi Collective theatre company's production The Way of the Raukura. Having spent most of his working life in the commercial television industry, Tim now works for the University of Auckland as a Senior Research Technician.
Tim has been married to Sue - a Clinical Psychologist - since 1990, and they have 2 fantastic adult children.
