Till Kahrs started out in the very early 90’s as a songwriter and quickly developed his skills as a songsmith. The LA Times referred to him as, "a master of hooks". Soon thereafter, Till started singing on his own demo tapes after being encouraged by his fellow songwriters who thought he had a great voice. Kahrs started building a huge following playing the local coffee house circuit in Orange County and Los Angeles where he developed his renowned performing skills. The Orange County Register’s longtime Country Music Critic Gene Harbrecht, has described Kahrs’ voice as "distinctive and disarming" while depicting his music as "down to earth". Honing his "live" act, Kahrs had the opportunity to play at the famous Bluebird Café in Nashville, where many Country stars like Garth Brooks were discovered and also the legendary Tootsies Bar near Music Row. He’s also played well-know venues all over Los Angeles like Twin Palms, Genghis Cohen and The Galaxy Theater. By the end of 1992, Till who had sent out literally hundreds of demo tapes to record labels here in the US and abroad, got "signed" to a record deal in Germany. The relationship proved to be successful as Till and his band toured Europe extensively in the summer of ’94 to support his hit "Playin’ For Keeps" and then again in the summer of ’95 to support his second hit "Slow Burn Woman". Before his first big tour of Europe in ’94, Till was able to headline the original Crazy Horse (named Country Nightclub of the Year 7 times by The Academy of Country Music) in Santa Ana, CA. This sold out show was a huge success as the Los Angeles Times Calendar section reported, "Throughout the evening, Till connected to his fans with his easygoing charm. As much fun to watch as he was to listen to, he moved around the stage punctuating his music with energy that seemed to flow naturally." Kahrs is also the Lead Singer and Lyricist for the European Super Group-"BLUE MOON" signed to Marabu Records. Till has written many songs for other artists in Europe and The USA including Nashville Artist and Singer/Songwriter Craig Lackey, with whom he co-wrote "By Your Side". Kahrs also writes songs for Film/TV and has had placements with his music with shows like "The Young & The Restless" and several movies, including the award-winning animated film SHANGHAI SIN (he wrote/performs the title track for this movie).
