Healthy Junkies + The Systematics + Support Healthy Junkies Parisian Lead singer Nina Courson met British guitarist Phil Honey-Jones in 2009 in the venue Punk in Soho, both of them were in separate bands at the time. Before long sparks were flying and songs began flowing, the shared influences of the likes of Iggy Pop, Nirvana, The Doors, Blondie, Killing Joke and Sonic Youth playing a big part in the direction of the music. Inspiration has come from far and wide and lyrically the lines between autobiographical and fiction are blurred and merged. I suppose if there was a specific aim it would be to capture and bottle the essence of certain music from the past and release it kicking and screaming into the now. Phil and Nina were soon joined by Adam Lewis on drums, who recorded the first 2 singles then left to be replaced by Steve Nightmare. Tjay Tarantino joined on Bass guitar. They played their first gig together at an all day punk festival in Brighton in September 2010. Since then the band have played many gigs all over the U.K. including headlining the new band stage at Rebellion punk festival in August 2012 and supporting the legendary Walter Lure in London, which they supported again in August 2013. 2013 started off quite well as HEALTHY JUNKIES signed to STP Records for the release of their second album "The Lost Refuge" that came out in August 2013, the launch party being at Rebellion Festivals in August, and they had a change of line up, joined by Danny Fury (Lords of the New Church, Sham69) on drums and Dave Renegade on bass. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Healthy-Junkies/128020360589230 The Systematics George met Roxanne when studying English Literature in Marple, bonded over a love of Cider and The New York Dolls. It was then when they decided to start a rock and roll band. Met Mark when he answered an add for a stunt guitarist posted in Johnny Roadhouse and Gaz followed when he moved the flat below Roxanne. https://www.facebook.com/TheSystematics LittleCrazy Littlecrazy was formed in 2010 by Jamz Pringle and Daz Rodgers who were reunited school friends.
