Celebrate the new Arts and Entertainment District and the 30th Anniversary of Garrett Lakes Arts Festival Garrett Lakes Arts Festival wants to show our appreciation to the community in celebration of 30 years of bringing performing arts to Garrett County. The newly designated Arts and Entertainment District at Penn Alps/Spruce Artisans Village is a great way to show off all the exceptional arts offerings that our area has to enhance our lives. Enjoy Penn Alps Restaurant & Craft Shop! with their WARM, FRIENDLY SERVICE, RELAXING ATMOSPHERE, AND DELICIOUS FOOD. They are open until 8:00 pm on Sunday with the music of Tom Cummings beginning at 4:30 pm A cafe with style. The Cornucopia Café serves a fresh menu centered around local food, gathering their favorite recipes into a scrumptious selection of quiche, panini, fresh pasta, soup, salad and stir-fry, and included a bar with beer, wine and homemade sodas. Weather permitting, our own local musician Bob Stephens will be in the outdoor seating gathering together with friends for a glass of wine and a great time of classic light rock music. Events going on at Penn Alps/Spruce Artisans Village 3:30 and 5:30-Casselman Bridge State Park will be giving a presentation on the history of the bridge by Ranger White During the day in the one room schoolhouse, there will be a presentation by Garrett County’s High School FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 1629. 4:30 Bob Stephens performing at Cornucopia for the entire evening providing light sounds from the 70’s 4:30 Tom Cummings performing at Penn Alps for the entire evening providing light sounds from the 60’s 5:00 – 6:30 The Terah Crawford Band performance 7:00 – 8:30 Steve A. This is a GREAT Community Festival for the entire family!! We really enjoy playing this event and seeing everyone year after year. Come out to play games, win door prizes and enjoy some music.
