Formed in the summer of 2021, Rob Moreno, Jeremy Sorci, and Pat Hanek emerged from the COVID lockdown era with a shared drive to channel nearly two years of unfurled creative energy into an unstoppable, driving force.The group spent the next two and a half years shaping a sound defined by intricate rhythmic structures, dynamic shifts, angular melodic tension, and expansive, vintage-inspired textures woven into a powerful contemporary framework.
In January of 2024, the final piece fell into place with the arrival of vocalist Jenna Maverick. Her commanding presence and emotionally charged delivery elevated the band’s sound into its full identity—balancing raw intensity with haunting melodic depth and an unmistakable sense of scale. Together, the lineup forged a sound that is both technically precise and deeply expressive, moving effortlessly between crushing weight, atmospheric space, and cinematic release.
Now in the process of recording their first album, The Riving is carving out a reputation through their high energy live performances across the North Coast.
