The Riflebirds played in Portland from 1985 to 1989, building a loyal following and garnering consistent critical acclaim. We released two singles (Dreaming Of A Kiss / A Thousand Days and Might As Well Stay / On A Day Like Today) and a full-length record (April). We headlined at the major Portland clubs of the day, including the Pyramid Club, Cafe Oasis, Satyricon, Key Largo, and the Last Hurrah, along with a residency at the east side Dublin Pub.
In 2024 the band reunited to record a new album, called Windmills on the Moon, scheduled for release in 2025.
