Darwin NT. will be hosting a "Week for West Papua" Nov 30th-Dec 6th to commemorate the first raising of the Morning Star flag. West Papua first declared independence from, and with support from The Netherlands on Dec 1st 1961. The Indonesian military launched operation Trikora on Dec 19 1961 to invade, conquer and colonise West Papua. Starting at Dinah Beach on the 30th of November and finishing up at Happy Yess on the 6th of Dec. with 10 of the Cream of the Darwin Music Scene on one stage for one night only.
