Jason Scott (singer/guitarist) is from Hawaii and moved to the bay area in the late 90's. Pete Milan (drummer) is originally from Wisconsin. and Gerard Astrero ("G") (bassist) was born in the Philippines and moved to California when he was 6 years old. The band was formed in 2004 when Jay and Pete first met in college and started playing music together. They soon formed The Institution and recruited another student to play bass for them. The first bass player eventually left the band. Jay and Pete recruited G in 2011 and are currently playing shows in the San Francisco bay and the entire west coast . Keep up with them at www.theinstitution.us. Members- Jason Scott Pete Milan, Gerard ("G") Astrero
