The Focke-Wolves / Press

“The vocal work soars, and the music does too. There’s a feeling that even in that they distinguish themselves, pushing themselves just THAT much farther in order to get their melodic hard rock core as sped up and invitingly off the edge as possible. They never get too full of themselves, which is important, letting the listener come along for the ride that the band is on. The outfit almost sounds like the quintessential “everyman’s rock band,” presenting jams for fans of heavy music from across the spectrum to enjoy and find their own way with. The band feels like they have a sense that doing so is how to get ahead and have their music land well, and they sound legitimately invested in that process and their music as a whole, which also contributes to their sonic success. While their music could be marked for being accessible, it’s still dynamic and not overly simplified. Instead, it feels well poised to provide a legitimate, solid good time for people.”

"Four powerfully staged songs by MOTÖRHEAD producer Cameron Webb has the quintet founded in 2011 in Southern California on its second release to date. The opener "El blasto maxxo" has pounding guitars, stadium backing vocals and a slightly exaggerated vocals. "Undone" is a straight rocker with a slide guitar and a vocals reminiscent of late THE DAMNED or even VOLBEAT. "Messed up pretty" has a certain closeness to the BACKYARD BABIES because of the different, higher and rougher vocals and guitar work, and the last song, "Long way down", is characterized by really good lead guitars. If you have a penchant for adult (punk) rock on the edge of sleaze and hard rock you should definitely like THE FOCKE WOLVES."

"The Focke Wolves is a cool San Diego band that keeps the joint jumpin.’ They’re punk and a whole lot more, with the guys taking the attitude that music can have a fun rhythm and a melody and still be cool. We are particularly fond of this band’s style."

"The Focke-Wolves blasted belligerently onto the Southern Californian scene in 2011, and have forged a large and loyal following amongst fellow “punk damaged’ reprobates. Here’s why: barbed wire riffs, power-melodies and ADHD-frantic solos permeate their hard rockin’ fury relentlessly, singer Bobby Ray Octane lending these four turbo charged tracks a Danko Jones vibe as guitarists Mickey McFaster and T.K. Overdrive shred like motherfuckers. Billy D and Claytone Moses’ rhythm section never let up for a moment, either, making this teaser for album #2 a blast from start to finish – a Blasto Maxxxo, to be exact."

"Focke Wolves was a wild party of shirtless guys and piercings all lined up perfectly to make cool sounds and great visual entertainment. This San Diego band is a great combo of musicians with Bill Venom on drums; front guy BobbyRay Octane who has great pipes; Mickey McFaster on guitar, ClayTone Moses on bass and Tyler “Guit Boy” on lead. The Guit Boy guy doesn’t stop for a minute, leaping off speakers, stripping off clothes and banging his head all over the place. He and Mickey McFaster are truly dynamic. With Focke Wolves it’s best to take cover and admire from afar as the guys move around, taking up every square inch of space on — and off — the stage. “Trash Queen,” “Vanity Kills,” and “Sex in Texas” are pleasers. Their songs are hot and so are they as these guys disrobe and taunt the audience by disappearing out a door at the drop of a shirt"

"Focke-Wolves are a rock n' roll group with elements of old school punk and vintage metal. They're a bunch of hard-rockin' party dudes who dig muscle cars, binge drinking, guitar solos, partying and rocking out all hard. You get the picture.
