The Era's singer and guitarist is doing a live unplugged show
The Electric Era are currently recording new material, so live gigs are far and between. This is a rare opportunity to catch us on stage with our friends from The Future's Bright, Aspens, The Favoured Few and Iyla. 5 bands for 5 bucks. It doesn't get any better than that.
The first In The Mix event of the year is almost upon us! Wednesday, 27th March will see four great bands and a special guest DJ take to the stage and hit us with some sweet tunes. In The Mix is a quarterly event held at Juice Bar, Parnell. The gig is put on by SAE Social Club for students, friends and the general public to attend; all welcome! Free entry with prizes & giveaways on the night, Pool competition ($5 entry, starts 8pm), cheap beverages. You can't go wrong.

“The more I listened, the more I heard the beauty of certain tracks. Atmospheric breakdowns and harmonies of One Million Light Bulbs, the rhythmical urgency and clear cut grooves of Object (World Of My Own) and the descending chordal motif of Small World #6 kept my ears riveted, as did the variety of interesting section breaks and chord palette. The Electric Era seem to enjoy comparisons with the seminal likes of The Verlaines and The Clean, and this album is definitely worth exploring if you’re a fan of ’80s synths and unadorned vocal simplicity, cut to modern grooves, interspersed with crunchy guitar and bass.”
