“Eagerly await a 3rd Album by Bishop Rookerly This second offering from NY based surfsters does not disappoint. With a healthy dose of both shredders and laid back tracks, plus the occasional and requisite surf classic cover, Monsters from the Id is another great modern addition to the surf genre from this great band. I eagerly await a 3rd album from these talented musicians. Album Highlights: The band anthem "Coffin Dagger" tears the album wide open, while the chuggy title track "Monsters from the Id" changes the gears a bit. "Parasite" brings the tempo back up again, and the haunting reverb of "Smoke" leaves you feeling more than a bit creeped out. Also, their wonderful renditions of "A Shot in the Dark" and the oft covered "Caravan" are both great cuts. That is not to discount the other 8 tracks, all of which are good. Keep it the good work gang.”
