This February, ultimate super best friends WALKEN and Muddy Chanter are throbbing at the prospect of leaving the rigid environment of Brisbane in search for floppier worms. The KEEPIN IT FLACCID TOUR was devised with a simple message in mind - “It doesn’t have to be that hard”. The guys will be donning their helmets and turtlenecks to kick off the festivities on the Sunshine Coast then will be flowing down as far South as Melbourne. WALKEN have just come off the back of a successful single release (Even If It Kills Me) which saw them embark on a co-headline tour at the end of last year with 'Gong bro's Kaleidoscope. Now with new members Beej (Drums) + Pat (Guitar) on board and ready to slay the tunes, WALKEN is eager to hit it, harder and faster than ever. Alongside this, Muddy Chanter will be unleashing some fresh tracks to kick off the year also, with some exciting news set to be announced soon. “Considering both bands share members and everyone involved are best mates, it’s going to be a real pants ripper of a tour, despite the unassuming name” says Luke, Guitarist of Muddy Chanter. The boys will be stopping into The Bearded Lady for the Brisbane leg of their upcoming tour. Joining them for the night will be The Bear Hunt, who are currently scheduled to release their new single + video ‘Tropical’. The Bear Hunt had a busy 2015 with their first east coast tour and the release of their first ever album ‘To Be Honest’. Their summer smash hit ‘Ready or Not’ landed on 4ZZZ's Hot 100 at #7. 2016 is looking to be a banger of a year! Lloyd and his ladies are joining forces at the Bearded Lady with local legends WALKEN and Muddy Chanter to celebrate the release of their new video ‘Tropical’. As well as this, to round off the lineup and open up the night will be the Brisbane up and comers Electric Zebra and Columbia Buffet. With both bands making waves within the local scene thanks to their current + upcoming releases (Ambition EP by Electric Zebra, and How To Survive An Atomic Bomb by Columbia Buffet) and joining the current lineup of WALKEN, Muddy Chanter and The Bear Hunt – Saturday, 27th of February at The Bearded Lady is bound to be one hell of a night. So come along for the show, make some new friends and try scab yourself a fresh bottle of Mexico’s finest 100% sugar soft drink.

Bio: The Bear Hunt is a four piece garage rock band in Brisbane originally hailing from North Queensland. The band decided it was time to take it to the next level and travel afar to share their callous, social loathing yet infectious tunes. "It is contemplative raw music, unfettered and simple with occasional Blues and Country tangents intermingled ... The guitars ... are warm and fuzzed out; as the lead guitar riffs go from a steel twang to a soaring jetliner solo, the rhythm guitar holds a bold and steady backing. The bass guitar and drums are effortlessly attuned to each other ... This band has beautifully imperfect symmetry... Four musicians from Brisbane with so much potential, I can taste it. Go give them a listen!"
