“Taibo steps up on stage with a T-shirt that reads “Freedom Fighter”. His song, “Fly Away” is about his family’s history in Libya and the struggle to come to America. Taibo is a Libyan American hip hop artist whose lyrics express the anger and the frustration that Arabs feel for the United States intervening in the internal affairs of Arab countries. His beats are unique and original, and they remind me of the awesomely weird beats that is part of what makes MF Doom so fun to listen to. Taibo’s flow is slow and focused on listeners realizing what he’s saying. On stage with Taibo is a piano and a projector screening Lion of The Desert. Taibo raps, “Desert Eagle”, a song with references to wars and American news fabrication.”
