Released as the first single off Crystal's “Hollywood, Tennessee” album on CBS, the ballad quickly became a #1 hit. The song remained on Billboard’s country & adult contemporary charts for more than a year. Susan’s own contemporary version of THE WOMAN IN ME was recorded in Nashville, along with two more original songs. The sessions were produced and engineered by Blue Miller, with superb playing by Nashville’s top session musicians (Eddie Bayers, Tony Harrell, John Willis, Doug Kahan & Blue). Susan has recorded at more than 40 studios nationwide! In Atlanta, where she lived for 24 years, she managed a successful studio and was among the top session vocalists in the city. Susan was named Atlanta Songwriter of the Year, and has received many honors for her original songs and vocal work. She is also a jingles writer/producer and voice-over talent. Susan's been singing, writing songs and working in recording studios since her childhood days in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When she was a teenager, she honed her talents as a session singer by performing on countless sessions in Milwaukee's first multi-track studios. As a featured vocalist, Susan has toured extensively, performing a wide range of music, including her own award-winning songs. Throughout the 1970s, Susan and her partner opened for major folk/pop/rock artists and played at renowned clubs. Susan toured the world in 1978-‘79 as a BACKUP SINGER FOR COUNTRY MUSIC SUPERSTAR TAMMY WYNETTE! The group performed at major venues, including Carnegie Hall and Las Vegas, and appeared on numerous television shows. Today, Susan and her husband live on Amelia Island, Florida.
