Bio: Survival Society is a Baltimore local band with a thirst for getting our name out to as many people as possible and our music into as many ears as possible. Come and check out one of our live shows.
“If you’re a fan of solid rocks tunes, then this EP is for you. Every element in the sound of Survival Society is solid, the drums are tight, the guitars and tuned just right, and the riffs are pretty darn good also. The redeeming factor for me however are the vocals, they have a touch of Lostprophets and You Me At Six in them. So if you’re a fan of those bands, then check out Survival Society. The EP opens with FDD, a quick acoustic track complete with sad chords and lyrics that become gut wrenching as Taylor sings them. It’s ironic that the most uplifting riff on the EP is in a song titled Graves, but everywhere’s full of surprises. The intro sounds like something The Strokes or The Wombats could have produced in their heydays, but the indie-ness feel is quickly replaced with a straight up gritty rock riff that sounds rather tasty.”
