This special event will showcase various talents from local African Canadian artists and youth. The event will take place on February 18th, 2009 and is scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm and end at 8:00pm. This event will discuss the history of Black Canadians through art, story telling, dance and music and how it has effected the current and future of black Canadians. There will be special performances by spoken word artists Mahlikah Awe:ri featuring guitarist Isaac Llacuachaqui, Truth Is.

Brandon Hay from the Black Daddies Club will also be discussing how Black Canadian History has shaped his life.

There will be an amazing line up of other artists so come on out and celebrate this special day.
